August 1st - Paul Johansen, 146 yd, par 3, #15, Lake Wilderness...
On August 1st, Paul Johansen carded a hole-in-one on the 15th hole at Lake Wilderness Golf Course during league play with the Mixed Retirees Golf League. Paul used a 5-Iron on the 146 yard par 3. The ball hit the green about 10 feet in front of the back pin location and rolled straight into the cup. It was a picture perfect shot. This was his first Hole-in-One.
July 25th - Terry Hostak, 127 yd, par 3, #14, Auburn...
On July 25th, Terry Hostak member the Sundogers Golf League, carded a hole-in-one on the 14th hole at the Auburn Course. Terry was playing in a non-BEGA Monday night Merchant's league when he used a 9-Iron on the 127 yard par 3. They were using a shotgun start and it was his 1st swing of the day. Who says you need to warm up! This was Terry's second Hole-in-One.
June 20th - John Leyda, 142 yd, par 3, #11, Harbour Pointe...
On June 20th, John Leyda carded a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole at Harbour Pointe Golf Course during league play with the Incredibles Golf League. John used a 9-Iron on the 142 yard par 3. The ball flew directly into the cup without contacting the green. This was John's 2nd Hole-In-One.

Jim Franke during league play of the Retees Golf League carded a hole-in-one while playing the par 3 141 yard 17th hole at Meadow Park in Tacoma. Jim used an 9 iron to card his 1st Hole-in-One. Great Shot Jim

On May 1st, Cheryl Owens of the Transputters Golf League made her very 1st hole-in-one using a 7 iron on the 111 yard par 3 16th hole at Druids Glen. Congrats Cheryl on a memorable shot!

September 27th, John Leyda of the Incredibles Golf League carded a hole-in-one using a Pitching Wedge on the 157 yard par 3 12th hole at Kayak Point Golf Course. John has been close a few times, but this was his first hole-in-one.

Jim Hip of the Retees Golf League carded a hole-in-one while playing the par 3 157 yard 14th hole at Rock Island. Jim used an 8 iron to card his 2nd Hole-in-One. BUT, this was this first one on his Birthday! Happy Birthday Jim!

Tonight, the 14th of July, Paul Baughman of the Incredibles Golf League carded a hole-in-one on the par 4 335 yards on the signature hole. Most of us would be happy to have a hole-in-one on a par 3, let alone a par 4 which is simply amazing. Way to go Paul!

Congrats to Jim Henderson of the Incredibles league! This was only the 5th hole in one in the history of the Incredibles which was formed in 1972, nicely done Jim!

Congrats to Ken Gunderson of the National league! Ken reported: "This was my first hole in one. On the 6th hole at Mapelwood, I used a 9-iron to drain the 127 yard shot. What a thrill. I actually didn't see it go in but had a feeling it went in." Great day of golf Ken!

And accomplishing a very rare feat, Michael Sturm of the Iron Eagles, scored an albatross 2 on the par 5, 16th at Battlecreek on July 18th. In fact they had a 2 AND a 3 on that hole! Congrats, Michael, not too many of us will ever catch one of those babies!

Congrats to Laurie Briggs of the Parchuters who aced the 5th hole at Foster Golf Links, her first hole-in-one! On July 17th she used a 7-wood during league play to drain the 134 yard shot. Way to go, Laurie!

Congrats to our BEGA Women's VP Kathy Landino of the Brassie Lassies who recorded her first ace! On July 4th she used a pitching wedge to drain the 115 yard shot at Maplewood's #14 hole. It wasn't during a league event, but it was during a tournament! Very nice, DINO!

Another Boeing retiree making great use of his time! On April 29th Bill used a 3 Iron to drain the 188 yd par 3 at Inglewood. A nice display of golf talent for BEGA!

Michael didn't see it go in and looked all around over the back of the green first! On April 22nd Michael used a 4 Hybrid to ace the 165 yd #12 at the Home Course. It was Michael's 5th hole in one.

During a pre-league practice round, Konrad Halliday notched a non-league, hole-in-one with an 8 iron. This has to be a league first - TWO ACES IN ONE DAY.
